DOES MY MULTIFAMILY PROPERTY HAVE TO DO IT?
Multofamily properties with four (4) or more cubic yards of weekly garbage AND recycling service are required to arrange for plant debris recycling services.
Check your garbage bill to see what size containers are on site.
WHAT IS ORGANICS?
For multifamily properties, organics includes plant debris only.
Plant Debris includes plants, grass, and tree limbs. Plastic bags, water hoses, metal, hazardous waste, glass, or other material that does not grow from the earth should not be put in your organics container.
HOW DO I COMPLY?
Separate your organics from your trash and either:
1. Enter into a service agreement with a franchised hauler to collect your food scraps and/or plant debris. To get started, call your hauler to add the service
or
2. If you're hauling your plant debris through a landscaper or yourself, fill out the Service Verification Form and submit it for approval.
